On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the students enrolled in the college’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Summer Program visited the New York State Capitol.
The day began with a guided tour of the Capitol learning about the rich history and experiencing the beautiful architecture of the building. The students concluded their trip at a meeting with Assembly member Patricia Fahy. The Assembly member spoke to the students about the importance of the Educational Opportunity Program, encouraging them to utilize all the resources being offered to them in college. She gave the students great advice to reach for the stars with one hand and to the leave the other hand available to help others. It was a great day!
